When you hear about a company that grows from a single customer to almost 1.5 million customer in just over three years, you know they’re doing something right.
LifeLock was founded in June 2005. They started out with a plan to be “disruptive;” to do things differently, to shake things up by thinking outside the box. Their famous commercials (“Hi, I’m Todd Davis, and my Social Security number is …”), were part of that plan, but the real innovation has been in their comprehensive, award-winning services.
After you enroll on their secure website, LifeLock gets right to work, contacting the credit reporting agencies to request your free fraud alerts and credit report. Unless you tell them not to, they’ll continue renewing the fraud alerts every 90 days.
Next, they’ll contact the marketing associations to have your name removed from their junk mail and pre-approved credit card offers lists.
Then their exclusive identity theft protection tools begin working for you:
WalletLock: If your wallet is ever lost or stolen, call LifeLock, and they’ll work with you to quickly cancel and replace your credit cards, bank cards, driver’s license—any of the official documents that could help an ID thief assume your identity,
TrueAddress: Because criminals commonly submit address changes to divert their victims’ mail, LifeLock scans address databases and alerts you if your name or address are ever detected.
eRecon: LifeLock continuously monitors the websites and chatrooms identity thieves and crime rings use to buy sell and trade stolen identities. If any of your information appears (name, address, SSN, account numbers…) they’ll notify you immediately, and help you stop the criminals in their tracks.
Nobody else does what LifeLock does to protect you. That’s why almost 1.6 million Americans have chosen LifeLock. To learn more, visit LifeLock.com. Enroll using the LifeLock’s promo code Defense and get it all for less.

The Wallet Lock service seems very useful. I have a lot of plastic and accounts floating around (I just switched banks so I’m more aware of that than ever). It would be a huge time saver for them to cancel out those items.
Thank you for the information. I was loking around for it and this is the first place that outlined what it is that Lifelock does.
